From a structured background in Industrial Engineering, to the creative world of a Professional Makeup Artist, Alex isn't your typical Makeup Artist. In a matter of close to 8 years and at the age of 32 she has left the field of Industrial Engineering, moved to Atlanta, worked at MAC Cosmetics for 3 years, and pursued her passion of being a self taught freelance full time Makeup Artist. She has developed a strong following on Instagram of 90,000+, Facebook of 40,000+, Twitter of over 5,700, and YouTube of close to 25,000 Subscribers who are glued to her pages specializing in beauty, fashion, and natural hair. Alex has worked on various celebrities, television shows, fashion shows, award shows, and photo shoots. Her most recent work can be found on Bravo's, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” featured on Cynthia Bailey and TV One's “Verses and Flow” Season 5 on recording artist Avery Sunshine, which premiered August 27. She has also worked on various shows such as WeTV's “Growing Up Hip Hop”, BET's Comicview on host Comedienne, Sommore, Bravo's “Real Housewives of Atlanta” on Phaedra Parks, Vh1's “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta”, WeTV's “SWV Reunited”, Vh1's “Atlanta Exes” on Tameka Raymond, the 2013 BET Soul Train Awards, CW's “Vampire Diaries”, and Bravo's “The New Atlanta”. She has partnered up with Milani Cosmetics as their Key Makeup Artist at the 2015 DC Ubiquitous Hair and Trade Show, 2014 Haiti Bridal Expo and lead the brand at two Wal-Mart appearances in Houston, TX and New Orleans, LA in 2014, debuting the brand's new products to consumers and being the Celebrity Makeup Brand Ambassador. She has plans on attending the 2016 Haiti Bridal Expo as Milani's Brand Ambassador in mid April. She has toured the globe nationally and internationally teaching her basic and advanced makeup classes to the masses. Her makeup class tours began in 2012, grew in 2013, and in 2014, she taught in over 15 cities. She traveled to over 20 cities teaching two hands on makeup classes in each city in 2015. She prides herself on being an educator and to one day develop a Makeup Academy after establishing a well known name for herself in the entertainment and beauty industry.
Class Description
In this Bridal Makeup class, Alexandra Butler will teach you how to create a classic look for your Brides so they look back at the pictures years from now and still feel beautiful, still look like themselves, and most of all, to still look “current.” She will discuss classic makeup trends that will never go out of style and that apply to different face shapes, facial features, skin colors, skin textures, and specific color themes. She will also share how to set yourself apart with your artistry and to make the Wedding Makeup “Experience” more than pleasurable for your Bride and her Bridal Party.
